Coalition Submits Statement for House Natural Resources Subcommittee Hearing on Offshore Carbon Storage

The Carbon Capture Coalition submitted a statement for the record today for the House Natural Resources Committee’s Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources hearing entitled “The Opportunities and Risks of Offshore Carbon Storage in the Gulf of Mexico.”

The statement outlines the safety and effectiveness of secure geologic storage of captured carbon dioxide (CO2) and its critical importance in realizing essential emissions reductions targets by midcentury.
