Coalition Asks Congress to Encourage Swift Treasury Action on 45Q Guidance

The Carbon Capture Coalition is asking members of the taxation committees in the U.S. House and Senate to press the U.S. Treasury Department to move quickly to finalize guidance on implementation of the reforms to the 45Q tax credit that became law with enactment of the FUTURE Act in February of 2018. In identical letters to leaders of the taxation committees in both chambers, the Coalition also outlined potential “technical fixes and policy options” to further improve the tax credit.
