The Great Plains Institute released a blog that explores the role of the Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations in managing demonstration and pilot-scale projects across the department’s clean energy technology portfolio. Funded through the bipartisan Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act, the Office is a new way of approaching the deployment of innovative technologies within the federal government. The IIJA provides the Office nearly $21.5 billion to fund commercial demonstrations of a range of clean energy technologies, including carbon capture demonstrations, carbon capture large-scale pilot projects, and regional clean hydrogen hubs.
